Biography
Phill Bettis has practiced law for over four decades in his hometown of Cumming, Georgia and recently announced his retirement. He is married to Wanda, and they have three adult children, and six precious grandchildren all age 5 and under. Phill serves as Chair of the Benjamin F. Brady Charitable Foundation. He is a past chair of the Georgia Baptist Healthcare Ministry Foundation. Phill served as charter Chair of Leadership Forsyth and the Cumming-Forsyth County Bar Association. He also previously served as Chair of the State Bar of Georgia Committee on Professionalism and has been frequently selected as an Atlanta Magazine Super Lawyer. Phill is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and Mercer University.
Phill loves history and is a member of the Atlanta Civil War Roundtable. In 2009, he participated in an archeological dig in Bethsaida, Israel. In 2012 Phill published his first book entitled, "The Little Book of Annoying Questions," and more recently released his second book "Wandering Off, Stories of a Blessed and Somewhat Mischievous Southern Life." In addition to his practice, he serves as an associate Magistrate Judge for Forsyth County, Georgia.
